(12) APPLICATION DEADLINE . The AU GO database opens 3 November 2015 for applications for study abroad in Autumn 2016 and Spring 2017. . Possible changes until November. . The application deadline is 1 December 2015. . You will receive an electronically generated confirmation by email when submitting your application. The confirmation contains a copy of your application. . Answer to your application: January 2016. . Let us know immediately if you for some reason do not want the position after all. (17) PARTNER INSTITUTIONS - COURSE SELECTION Course Selection . Courses should fit in your study programme (preapproval of courses is applied for after you have been allocated a position). . Courses should fulfil the requirements listed in your curriculum. . 30 ECTS – full semester’s workload. . Finding the right academic programme and the relevant courses is your own responsibility. . AU/BSS will provide the best possible assistance, but in the end, it is up to you. Check language test requirements – TOEFL-test is required by most non-Erasmus partner institutions. . GPA requirement by some institutions. . (27) AU GO APPLICATION ATTACHMENTS Must be uploaded as 1 single PDF-file . A complete course selection form for each of your priorities. . Language test, if one or more of your priorities have a requirements for this and you have already taken a language test. . Master’s degree students holding a Bachelor’s degree from another university must also submit proof of this. If you hold a foreign Bachelor’s degree you must further enclose an explanation of the grading scale used in the country in question.. . (29) COURSE SELECTION FORM . This is NOT an application for pre-approval of courses. . Do not submit course descriptions together with the form. . The form is just to make sure that you only apply for institutions that offer relevant courses within your study programme. . Students who can find already pre-approved courses from their study programme in the AU GO database are welcome to list these courses in the course selection form. (30) JOINT ALLOCATION You and your fellow applicant must complete an sign the document ”Joint Allocation”. LENA TARPGAARD MØLLER INTERNATIONAL COORDINATOR. 2 OCTOBER 2015.

(31) JOINT ALLOCATION . You and your fellow applicant must both submit the individual electronic application, and in the section ”Special needs” write that you wish to apply for joint allocation and add the fellow applicants name. . You and your fellow applicant must submit the exact same list of priorities in your individual electronic applications. . You and your fellow applicant must upload a completed version of the document ”Joint Allocation” in each of your individual electronic applications. . (32) ALLOCATION CRITERIA . GPA o. master – GPA from bachelor diploma (weighted average). o. bachelor – GPA from bachelor grades at the time of allocation (weighted average). . Specific requirements listed in AU GO (e.g. GPA requirement by host institution). . Joint allocation: lowest GPA. . Seniority of study (for university wide agreements). . (33) 2ND ALLOCATION . 2nd allocation round with remaining positions: February 2016 for students who applied in the 1st application round but were not allocated a study abroad position. . All eligible students will receive information directly about 2nd allocation. . Available positions in 2nd allocation are allocated on a first-come-first-serve basis. You must show up in person. (34) AFTER ALLOCATION . Your international coordinator at AU will nominate you to your host institution. . You will receive application information from your international coordinator or the host institution. . The deadline for applying to the host institution may vary. . Take language test if required by host institution. . More information will follow at the after allocation meeting in January/February. (35) APPLICATION TO HOST INSTITUTION . Application – online or paper. . Language proficiency proof, if required. . Other specific documentation if required: recommendation letters, bank statement, health statement, insurance documentation etc.. . (36) PRE-APPROVAL OF COURSES . Not due until after you have been allocated a position. . Apply for pre-approval of courses as soon as possible AFTER the nomination. . Apply for pre-approval of courses with your study board – through mit.au.dk. . Find more information about the application procedure on your study portal. . (37) FREEMOVER . You may choose to go abroad as a freemover if you prefer a non-AU partner institution. . You will need to apply on your own directly to the host institution – start early!. . You will in most cases have to pay tuition fee. . We recommend that you register as freemover in the AU GO database during the application round. Just choose freemover as your first priority in the electronic application. . Please register as a freemover in the AU GO database before 1 December, if possible. . After 1 December, please bring a copy of your admission letter from the host institution to international coordinator, Lena Tarpgaard Møller, in room 2112 or send a copy by email to lenam@au.dk. (38) FREEMOVER . If you register as freemover in the AU GO database, you will automatically receive invitations to relevant meetings and receive emails concerning other information regarding your study abroad. . If you prefer going abroad as an exchange student, but want to go as a freemover in case you cannot be allocated a position, just choose freemover as your last priority in the electronic application. . You will need a pre-approval of the courses from your study board (apply through mit.au.dk). . It is a condition that the study period abroad is fully credited in your AU study programme.
