Yeah, it´s really hard to sell something to these guys. We had to compromise to visit the site for half day in several occasions during the installation process. Of course if we hadn´t had technical knowledge resources for different accessories not available at Logstor then we could forget about this project and others too. There´s a big "hole" there which I know you are conscious of but don´t know how it is with other people ...
There´s absolutely NO REASON why Uponor shouldn´t accompany the pipes with the corresponding product certificate. Your purchase people must request it.
And once again... it´s not what one would expect from no. 1 Logstor not to have any PEX service pipe product certificate. Please ask internally once again to find out if something is being done in this aspect.

Ok – I will see if we can get the certificate for the Uponor 90x8,2 – it should arrive here in Logstor end of next week and + 1 week of production we should be able to load on 10-12 2012

Tried to call you without success.
Yesterday I had a tough meeting with 5 Dalkia guys regarding this Pex project.
Rehau has been their supplier until now and of course the discussion with PEX type a (peroxide) or b (silan) turned up as one of the main topics. Thanks to my long experience as PEX-a production manager for Wirsbo in Spain for very many years and other processes I could convince them that most important is the finished product and we have a more efficient insulation thanks to the gas barrier. Of course I was relieved that at least the 1st 500 m delivery would be Uponor PEX-a pipe. Please demand the corresponding product certificate from them without necessary mentioning that it´s for the Spanish market since I would prefer to have the Swedish quality certificate.
Finally we managed to work out a better system at equal price level than Rehau so we are now at the stage of closing the order, perhaps even tomorrow.
I understand from you that the 500 m of Uponor 90x8,2 are on the way to Logstor for delivery on 30.11 so we will be able to load on 10.12.

We will have raw pex from Uponor the 30/11 2012 and production can produce the 3-7 Dec so I hereby confirm that we can load 500 m on the 10.12 2012

Next Wednesday 21.11 I will be with the Dalkia people regarding this project.
I can´t send our offer without the confirmation for 1st delivery of 500 m Pexflex 90/160 for collection on 10.12 so pls don´t delay your reply.
Our chances to supply are > 90% and it would be UNACCEPTABLE to lose the project!!!!!

Last Monday I received a call from Dalkia´s Production Dpt informing us that the project had been
"reactivated" (it was stopped in summer for legal reasons) and that it´s time to work on the details of connectors (unfortunately not available at Logstor).
So it´s NOT 100% sure until we have the order on our table. This is a preliminary notice of order (which is precisely what Logstor wants us to do!).
The issue is how long would it take to deliver the pipes at site from date of order. I believe we should be able to secure 1st EXW load (500 m) not later than 2 weeks from date of order otherwise we might put the project at risk.
What´s the problem with inhouse PEX????

Este proyecto de 1400 m PEXFLEX 90/160 parece que ha solucionado los problemas que tenía y se activa nuevamente.
Los detalles sobre entregas lo conoceremos espero que en el transcurso de la próxima semana.
¿Debemos activar otro pedido preliminar? Tal vez en ésta época del año no habría problemas de suministro de 1 camión = 500 m en un plazo de máx. 2 semanas.
Quedo a la espera de tus comentarios.

OK understood - inhouse problem here is that we do not have any raw pex in this dim on stock and when I ask for next production time – they give me something unacceptable, which was the reason for looking at buying it outside the house – but then of course they start to scream about prices "
