INFORMATION SYSTEMS RESEARCH METHODS

How do we do information systems research?

 Compare and contrast the four different perspectives/ paradigms – positivist,

interpretive, critical and pragmatic – that is understanding the multi-paradigmatic nature of information systems research and the associated research designs

 Plan, conduct and report research projects in such a way that they will substantially inform management problems,

 Choose research designs and data collection methods that are efficient and will provide the relevant information at sufficient levels of detail and accuracy,
