China: Martin Lidegaard meets with
China’s minister for Housing and Urban- Rural Development
In connection with his two-day visit to China Martin Lidegaard met with the Chinese minister for Housing and Urban-Rural Development, Mr. JIANG Weixin. The objective of the meeting was to follow up on the Sino-Danish Memorandum of Understanding signed by the minister with his Chinese colleague during President Hu Jintao’s visit to Denmark in June 2012. The Memorandum of Understanding strengthens the Sino-Danish cooperation within low energy building and opens up for Sino-Danish cooperation on the promotion of energy efficient, sustainable building and energy efficient building materials.
In continuation of the meeting the first working group meeting for officials was conducted where ideas and viewpoints on the further cooperation were exchanged, including focal points and activities. Among others the potential for a Sino-Danish seminar on energy efficiency under the expo conference on green building and technology in Beijing in April 2013 was discussed.
