6. Conclusion

6.5. Further implications

My observations, interviews, various informal conversions lead me to explore potential values deriving from Danish local productions of crafts and design. I believe that the future researchers interest, lies in the area of local production, or outsourcing which has to include other factors in account in order to draw meaningful conclusions, on how local production can impact on a bigger scope. A bigger sample size of participants from different parts of Denmark and Scandinavia would be interesting to be taken in consideration in developing a more significant contributions for this complex problematic. Indeed, there are different actors from the synergy surrounding, future researches need to consider; designers, craftsmen, the consumer- locals and internationals, companies and government.

Moreover, I focused my data collection on the craftsman, designers and their handicrafts businesses perspective. The data generated under the experience economy thematic would be interesting to explore, the insights can create a more in-depth research based on the customers’ perspective. Addition I find really interesting the few insights I found on emerging Scandinavian designers. Therefore I think it would be interesting to pursue other researches interviews on these upcoming successful Scandinavians designers and to hear their thoughts regarding the industry and how the past heritage can be transformed into a positive message along with the new green businesses opportunities.
