Forskningsinitiativet for Fysioterapi afholdt FiF-seminar 2008 med deltagelse af såvel fysioterapeuter med en ph.d./doktorgrad samt potentielle/igangværende ph.d.-studerende blandt fysioterapeuter eller andre med interesse for fysioterapeutiske problemstillinger.
Formålet med afholdelsen af det årligt tilbagevendende FiF-seminar er at danne netværk for forskere, der er interesserede i fysioterapeutiske problemstillinger. Seminaret blev afholdt på Syddansk Universitet i Odense (17.-18. januar).
Professor Maura Daly Iversen, ansat ved henholdsvis Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH), Institute of Health Professions og ved Harvard University, Boston, USA besøgte for første gang Forskningsinitiativet for Fysioterapi i sin rolle som international rådgiver (2.-6. marts).
Forskningsinitiativet for Fysioterapi afholdt i samarbejde med Danske Fysioterapeuter kurset Motor Control and Balance Rehabilitation. Anne Shumway-Cook, fysioterapeut, Ph.d.,
University of Washington, Seattle, USA og Marjorie H. Woollacott, Ph.d., University of Oregon, Eugene, USA fungerede som kursusledere og undervisere. Kurset blev afholdt på Syddansk Universitet, Odense (7.-9. maj).

Hun har modtaget 833.000 fra Region
Syddanmark til projektet Muskelfunktionen og træning ved knæskader og som forebyggelse af knæartrose (2008-2010).
