Sylvia Chan-Olmsted is the Director of Media Consumer Research at the University of Florida. She teaches brand management and media management. Her research expertise includes digital/mobile media consumption, branding and strategic management in emerging media industries. Her current studies involve audience engagement and media brand trust conceptualisation/measurement, emerging media audience behavior and branded content. Dr Chan-Olmsted has conducted consumer research for the U.S. National Association of Broadcasters, the Cable Center, Nielsen, Google, Huffington Post, Bertelsmann (G+J), Association of Top German Sport Sponsors (S20 group) and various industry partners. She holds the Al and Effie Flanagan Professorship at University of Florida.

Lisa-Charlotte Wolter is Head of the Brand & Consumer Research Department and NeuroLab at Hamburg Media School and courtesy Assistant Professor at the University of Florida. Her research focus is consumer engagement and effectiveness measurement. She holds an MBA from University of Hamburg and also studied at Copenhagen Business School and University of Technology Sydney. As a PhD she won a scholarship from Hubert Burda Media and focused her research on digital brand equity strategies. Having attained her PhD in Economics at the University of Hamburg in 2014, she is responsible for research projects with partners such as Google, Twitter or DIE ZEIT.

Elisa Dorothee Adam is a MSc student of Intercultural Business Psychology at University of Applied Sciences Hamm-Lippstadt/Germany. She has studied Cultural Studies and Business Management at Leuphana University Lüneburg/Germany, and holds a BSc in Business Psychology from University of Applied Sciences Bielefeld/Germany, having also studied at Teesside University/UK. From 2017-2019, she was granted a Deutschlandstipendium scholarship. Specializing in marketing during her studies, she has also some practical experience in marketing and market research, e.g. with Bahlsen company or currently as a freelancer for Interrogare institute. Recently, she has completed a research internship with Hamburg Media School.

Min Hang is a tenured full Professor and Dean for Development at the School of Journalism and Communication at Tsinghua University. She is also the director of Tsinghua Research Institute for Economic Communication. She holds doctoral degree in Media Management and Economics from Jönköping University, Sweden. She teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in media management, leadership in media and business journalism. She is specialized in media management and economics studies, and in recent years, she starts to move towards interdisciplinary areas including business journalism and economic communication. Till now, she has published more than 80 books and journal articles on media management, cultural industry studies, business journalism and economic communications in English and Chinese.

Cinzia Dal Zotto is an Associate Professor of human resources management at the Faculty of Economic Sciences at the University of Neuchâtel. Professor Dal Zotto holds a doctorate from the University of Regensburg, Germany, and a Masters from the Catholic University of Milan, Italy. She has been a visiting scholar at University of California at Berkeley, and a visiting professor at various universities including the University of Passau in Germany, the University of Westminster in London and the University of Bolzano in Italy. With a particular focus on the media industry, Cinzia Dal Zotto has always published and taught in the areas of human resources management, organizational behavior and strategy.

Afshin Omidi is currently serving as a Ph.D. Candidate in Management, as well as a Research, and Teaching Assistant at the Faculty of Economics and Business, at the University of Neuchâtel, Switzerland. He is conducting research on how digital technologies are transforming the nature of media work, by digging into the subjective experiences of people in the media and relating them to macro structures shaping the media industries. Previously, he has published some peer-reviewed papers in pioneer international journals such as International Journal of Emerging Markets, Sustainability, and Journal of Strategy and Management.

Marta Magadán-Díaz, Ph.D. in Business Administration from the University of Oviedo and professor in the Faculty of Business and Communication at the International University of La Rioja. CEO in the publishing industry. She was president of the Publishers Guild of Asturias and was part of the board of directors of the Federation of Publishers Guild of Spain. She was a professor at the University of Oviedo and a visiting professor at the universities of Guadalajara and Colima (Mexico). Since 2016, she manages Las Tertulias del Campoamor of the Municipal Culture Foundation of the City of Oviedo.

Jesús Rivas-García Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Oviedo and professor in the Faculty of Business and Communication at the International University of La Rioja. Director of the Master in Operations and Quality Management at the same university. He was a professor at the University of Oviedo and a visiting professor at the universities of Guadalajara and Colima (Mexico).

Miguel Crespo is a researcher at OberCom - Observatório da Comunicação and CIES - University Institute of Lisbon, and teaches Media, New Media and Journalism related subjects at ISCTE-IUL, Cenjor- The Portuguese journalists training center, IPAM/ European University Lisbon, and ETIC- creative school. He also coordinates the master’s degree in New Media Management at ISCTE-IUL. Has a master’s degree in Communication, Culture and Information Technologies, and is a PhD candidate on Communication Sciences at ISCTE-IUL He is a journalist for more than 30 years, an editorial consultant and digital communication teacher and trainer.

Ana Pinto-Martinho is the online publisher of the European Journalism Observatory, Portuguese, she is a member of ISCTE-IUL Media-Lab and CIES-IUL investigation centre, also at ISCTE-IUL, were she teaches data journalism, media and journalism, storytelling, visual communication and social media related areas, and is currently the executive coordinator of the post-graduation programme in Journalism. She contributes for the Digital News Report, issued by the Reuters Institute for The Study of Journalism, on the Portuguese analysis. She is currently working on her PhD, has a master’s degree in Communication, Culture and Information Technologies and a bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences.

Caterina Foà is Assistant Professor at ISCTE-IUL, and integrated researcher at OPAC (Portuguese Observatory on Cultural Activities) and OberCom (Communication Observatory). Her researches on Cultural and Creative Industries Management, Production and Marketing focus on crowdfunding and digital strategies.

Miguel Paisana is a Researcher at OberCom - Observatório da Comunicação / CIES-IUL and PhD candidate on Communication Sciences at ISCTE-CIES-IUL, develops research on key media sectors - TV, Radio, Press and Internet, with particular focus on the news and journalism sphere in the context of the Reuters Digital News Report team for Portugal.

Pedro Caldeira Pais is a Portuguese sociologist. He was a researcher at OberCom - Observatório da Comunicação from 2016 to 2020, where he worked on topics such as Radio, Journalism or Fake News, and was an editorial assistant on the academic journal (OBS *) Observatório, from 2017 to 2019. He is currently a PhD student in Communication Sciences at the ISCTE University, in Portugal.

Henrik Jensen is Managing Director of agency consultancy and private research firm Brandse & Co. His research focuses on business model innovation in the media industry with a specific interest in television and advertising. Henrik has held a number of executive positions and board memberships in the Scandinavian media industry. He holds a Ph.D. in Business Studies from Roskilde University, and M.Sc.

in Economics and Business Administration from Copenhagen Business School.

Kristian J. Sund is Professor of Strategic Management at Roskilde University, Denmark. His research currently focuses on business model innovation, organizational cognition and perceived environmental uncertainty, as well as more generally organizations and strategic management. Kristian holds a Doctorate in Management and M.Sc. in Economics from the University of Lausanne (HEC Lausanne), and a M.A. in Society, Science and Technology from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (EPFL).
