RELEASE

What Images Do asks not what images are, but what they do and the book is aware that it hereby also challenges what words do in their relation with images: The ambition of the book is to have a learning-by-doing approach to images and words, in examin- ing a part of our world which we cannot identify in the way that traditional image theory thought it possible. What Images Do examines the creative power of images and their importance for both art and science and as a persistent and inspiring challenge to our way of understanding specific images.
