PhD Day 2021

Dear PhD students and supervisors,

The Organizing Committee invites you to

the annual PhD Day which takes place on 22 January 2021.

The PhD Day 2021 brings changes to its usual structure. As requested over the last few years, the day will focus less on competition and more on feedback and will give you a chance to expand your ideas by witnessing more of your colleagues’ presentations. There will still be an exciting talk from an excellent speaker, flash talks, poster- and oral presen- tation, the famed Fogh Nielsen Competition and the well renowned dinner party at Cen- tralværkstedet. We hope the changes will create a safe and enjoyable environment to share your research with fellow students and staff.

Since the PhD Day is the annual conference meeting for all PhD students at Health, everyone is expected to participate:

• First year PhD students, Research year students, and Research Honours Programme students are invited to submit an abstract and present a flash talk.

• Second year PhD students are requested to submit an abstract and present a poster.

• Third year PhD students are requested to submit an abstract. Students will be assigned either to an oral presentation or as co-chair on a poster-, an oral- or a flash talk session.

The day is a celebration of the PhD students at Health and their research contribution. We therefore hope all supervisors and senior staff will attend. Further, we sincerely hope that you contribute as an expert chair on a poster-, an oral- or a flash talk session.

The online submission of abstracts will be open on 15 September 2020, and the deadline for submission of abstracts is 1 November 2020. Once you have submitted your abstract, you are automatically signed up for participation in the PhD Day 2021. The PhD Day is a mandatory part of the PhD program at Health. It is expected that all PhD students participate actively in PhD Day at least twice during their enrolment.

The Organizing Committee looks forward to seeing you all and hope for your support to make this a very special day.

Sincerely,

Referencer
